Install the plugin, enable progress sync, and open a book Binge Reader already knows. The plugin pulls progress on open and pushes it while reading, on close, and on suspend. Use Sync all books now for an initial or manual sweep.
Make sure the book can match
KOReader and Binge Reader match known books using the file identity KOReader calculates. Downloading from the plugin catalog is the simplest route. A separately converted copy may not match even when title and cover look identical.
Let normal sync do its work
With automatic sync enabled, the plugin checks when a book opens, periodically pushes while pages turn, and uploads live state on close or suspend. Close the book after a test session so the final in-memory position is sent.
Use a full sweep deliberately
Sync all books now checks the library, finds newly matchable books, and uploads state. A first sweep with years of history can take time but is designed to continue in batches. Keep the device awake and online when practical.
The details, at a glance.
| Consider | What to look for |
|---|---|
| Open | Pull newer shared progress |
| Read | Push periodically while online |
| Close or suspend | Upload the live book state |
| Manual sweep | Match and sync the whole device library |
A few things worth asking.
Why is one book not syncing?
It may not match a file Binge Reader knows. Download that book through the plugin catalog or compare the exact file.
Can offline reading sync later?
Yes, but allow the device to reconnect and complete a sync before opening the same book elsewhere.
