Open the book’s details or actions, choose Download for the original format, save it to a known folder, and open it in another compatible reader. Export metadata and annotations separately when you need a complete record.
Choose the intended file
A book can have several formats. Select the original or named format you actually need rather than assuming the primary reading copy is the only asset. Keep filenames stable during migration until verification is complete.
Verify the download
Compare file type and size, then open the downloaded book outside Binge Reader. For a critical archive, record a checksum or at least confirm chapter navigation and the final page.
Remember the data around the file
The ebook file may not contain Binge Reader status, reading history, or annotations. Export those separately. A recovery set combines readable files, a catalog, annotations, and a note describing the export date.
The details, at a glance.
| Consider | What to look for |
|---|---|
| Book file | Download the chosen original format |
| Catalog | Export title, edition, source, and organization |
| Annotations | Export passages and personal notes separately |
| Verification | Open the file outside Binge Reader |
A few things worth asking.
Will the downloaded EPUB include all my highlights?
Not necessarily. Reader annotations are usually stored separately, so export them from the annotation hub.
Why are there several download choices?
The record may contain multiple useful formats. Select by edition and purpose, not filename alone.
Written by Binge Reader. Our comparisons explain documented workflows and practical tradeoffs; they are not independent product benchmarks.
