Choose Add books and select multiple supported files in one action. Review the staged items, resolve obvious metadata problems, choose their library, and finalize the batch. Compare the completed count with the files you selected.
Prepare a clean batch
Keep DRM-free book files in the batch and leave unrelated cover images, checksums, and receipts outside it. Smaller themed batches are easier to verify than one enormous folder, especially when formats and naming quality vary.
Use the staging view
Scan the proposed titles and authors before finalizing. Fix repeated generic titles, choose the right primary format, and remove files you did not intend to add. Staging is the safest time to catch a bad filename.
Reconcile the result
Record how many files you selected and how many books finished. Open a novel, a fixed-layout document, and an audiobook or comic when present. Review duplicate candidates rather than deleting automatically.
The details, at a glance.
| Consider | What to look for |
|---|---|
| Batch size | Use a group you can count and review |
| Mixed formats | Test one finished book per reader type |
| Duplicates | Treat matches as review candidates |
| Result | Compare selected, completed, and failed items |
A few things worth asking.
Can I upload a folder directly?
Browser support varies. Selecting all files inside a prepared folder is the most predictable route.
Will two formats of one title always become one book?
Not necessarily. Confirm the edition and metadata, then link or manage useful format variants without assuming every title match is identical.
